Eastern Peloponnese bike adventure

Day 1

We group up in Athens and by van we make our way to Nafplio (about 2 hours drive). Upon arrival to the hotel for check in, a light lunch of typical and local appetisers will be served. Next, it's time for bike fitting and a first ride, to get familiar with your bicycle, crossing the first part inland and reach the town of Tolo. A typical coastal greek town and fairly quiet during winter months, is a favourite summer destination for the greeks, welcoming many tourists as well. We make our way back to Nafplio by a different route. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Today we will immerse ourselves into history and mythology! A few km from Nafplio, we will first discover the ruins of Ancient city Tiryns, the birthplace of Hercules and residence during his labours! After a short stop to admire and refuel, we will continue for the mythical city of Mycenae, the city of legendary King Agamemnon and the mysterious tomb of his father, king Atreas! We will visit the archaeological site with an expert local guide. We will cross the famous area of Nemea, Greece's most important red wine appellation.We will visit one of the most important wineries of the area, with the opportunity to taste their excellent and awarded local wines, combined with typical dishes of the area. We will cycle our way back to the hotel or by van, for whoever wishes.

Day 3

Today we will enjoy the coast and its beauty, crossing the Argolic Gulf with its beautiful landscapes and small villages and end our ride for lunch in a typical taverna, just a few meters from the sea, to taste fresh local seafood. Return to the hotel by van and farewell dinner.
